Job Overview/Summary: The Clinic Supervisor will provide technical support and competency based supportive supervision to partner(s) health staff which includes both mobile and static team. In addition to this, Clinic Supervisor will also manage IRC capacity building team. S/ He will ensure that partner(s) emergency health team is implemented in accordance with standard protocols, guidelines and best practices. S/ He plays key role in direct technical oversight and capacity building of IRC and partner(s) health staff, monitoring and evaluation of project quality under the direct supervision of Project Manager.

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

Program Implementation, Supervision & Development

  • Provide clinic technical and capacity building to partner(s) health staff mainly to Medical Doctor(s) from partner(s) organization in accordance with IRC standard protocols and guideline.
  • Conduct regular competency based supportive supervision and technical support to partner(s) mobile/ static clinic staff.
  • Organize and provide regular job training to partner(s) health staff based on the result of competency based supportive supervision checklist.
  • Supervise Mobile clinic activities which are conducted by mobile clinic team and health counselor.
  • Identify service quality requirement in mobile clinic including infrastructure, commodities, equipment, and report to Project manager.
  • Assist Project Manager in providing to conduct qualified mobile clinic activities.
  • Assist Project Manager in managing day-to-day logistics, administration and personnel activities of field-based ER program staff in accordance with IRC and national laws.
  • Assist Project Manager and Capacity Building Team to identify essential technical capacity building plan for partner(s) health staffs.

 

Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting

  • Participating in program monitoring and evaluation.
  • Participate in partner(s) mobile and static mobile clinic monthly work plan.
  • Monthly program narrative report to Project Manager.

 

Coordination & Representation

  • Assist to and participate with Project Manager in coordination and relationship with health stakeholders, Health Cluster members.
  • Work closely and coordinate with IRC operation and financial staff to ensure timely and complete program activities.

 

Other

  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Key Working Relationships:

Position Reports to: Project Manager (HHR)

Position directly supervises: Nurse Supervisor

 

What should you have?

 

Job Requirements:

 

Education:

  • Must be M.B.B.S holder.

 

Work Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience working with UN/INGO/LNGOs.

 

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience and skills in managing, supervision and capacity building for health staff.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions.
  • Must have ability to travel extensively to program implementing hard-to-reach areas. 

 

Language Skills: 

  • Good written and verbal Myanmar and English skills. Ability to communicate in the local language is an advantage.
