JOB OVERVIEW

As the Mass Market Fundraising Manager, you will be based in Seoul office. You will report directly to the Had of MM fundraising for IRC Korea.

The purpose of this role is to grow the supporter base and income primarily through sustainer-giving channels and audience development, building an innovative way of working, all whilst ensuring donor needs and expectations are met.  

The post holder will work in close collaboration with ER(External Relations) colleagues, as well as external stakeholders, to provide support to the wider IRC Korea team where and when required.

 

SCOPE AND AUTHORITY

Authority: The post will be responsible for leading and developing the fundraising strategy and programme with a focus on offline channels, mainly Face-to-Face.

Responsibility for Resources: This position has 1 F2F fundraising officer as direct report.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Your main responsibilities will be to:

1. support the implementation and delivery of sustainer acquisition through a diverse offline channel mix. This will mean:

  • Implement strategic, multi-year plans and budgets for mass-market fundraising to recruiting new sustainer donors through acquisition channels such as, but not exclusively, Face-to-Face.

  • Monitor progress against strategic plans and budgets producing regular fundraising and activity reports and other agreed KPIs.

  • Make recommendations for future campaigns based on learnings.

  • Working with relevant internal stakeholders, develop creative, innovative and targeted fundraising campaigns to engage new and existing supporters and maximize all fundraising opportunities.

2. Maximize the value, diversity and longevity of the private fundraising income stream through:

  • Stewardship with integration of acquisition and retention plans.

  • Monitoring progress and identifying opportunities for growth and development

  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to achieve objectives

 

Other accountabilities:

  • To comply with the culture and policies governing IRC in Korea and within External Relations.

  • To represent IRC in Korea in a manner that ensures appropriate communication with our supporters and stakeholders.

  • To develop and maintain a positive working relationship with other departments and teams in Korea and within IRC globally.

  • To attend meetings, conferences and training courses as directed.

  • Abide by IRC’s organizational policies and practices, and the IRC Code of Conduct.

  • Support diversity and equality of opportunity in the workplace.

  • To undertake other tasks as delegated by the Executive Director, IRC Korea where necessary for the fulfilment of the post.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • A hands-on attitude

  • Experience in working in a fundraising environment

  • Enthusiastic and diligent with excellent campaign management skills

  • Experience of working across Face-to-Face and other channels(i.e., offline events) is desirable

  • Experience managing agencies desirable

  • A strategic thinker who is highly organized

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive, collaborative, productive relationships with external suppliers and internal staff at all levels

  • Flexibility to respond quickly to changes in short-term work priorities

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office application

  • Commitment to the goals and values of the IRC

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Educated to degree level.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Korean speaker. Fluent in English
