Key Responsibilities:

 

Position Purpose:

The GBV Case worker supports the delivery of quality case management services for vulnerable adolescents, women, and survivors of GBV. The role assists in case intake, assessments, safety planning, referrals, follow‑up, documentation, and maintaining confidentiality in line with GBVIMS/GNVIMS+ standards. The position works closely with community structures and service providers to ensure safe, timely, survivor‑centred, support.

 

 

 Key Responsibilities:

 

 Project Implementation & Management:

 

  • Plan, conduct, and monitor GBV activities, including PSS support, awareness sessions, WGSS activities, and supervision of leaders, ensuring high‑quality, timely, and accountable delivery.
  •  Provide survivor‑centred GBV case management, including safe intake, documentation, action planning, referrals (especially for clinical care), and strict confidentiality using GBVIMS and IASC standards.
  • Track, document, and report GBV cases and activities, ensuring accurate monthly data submission, regular follow‑ups, field visits, and proper use of GBVIMS+ for secure information management.
  • Ensure strong data protection mechanisms, including secure management of visitor access (donors, SO, NO staff) and safeguarding sensitive children’s information in all formats.
  • Work with CiC, partners, and inter‑agency GBV working groups to ensure full compliance with GBV, and WVI standards, including peace‑building and community engagement components.

 

 Partnership, Networking & Advocacy:

 

  • Make timely consent based interagency referrals for survivors in need of other services and follow-up
  • Participate in the interagency case review meetings as need to be.
  • Follow-up with service providers, community-based support groups and the survivors themselves to ensure GBV survivors receive timely support
  • Coordinate discrete home visits by the outreach volunteers that minimize potential risks to survivors and the involved staff in consultation with the Case manager.
  • Maintain collaboration and cooperation with prevention team to ensure GBV prevention service in the community area under supervision of their supervisor.
  • Strengthen and maintain networks with community leaders, women leaders, service providers and camp management to ensure that survivors receive compassionate support from the community
  • Participate in psychosocial assessment of women registering for women center activities and support the women empowerment supervisor to run group therapy and psycho education activities at the women center.

 

Trainings and capacity building:

 

  • Deliver ongoing mentorship to outreach volunteers supporting prevention and response work.
  • Identify and build the capacity of community-based groups to provide ongoing psychosocial support to GBV survivors to facilitate their long-term recovery
  • Participate in capacity building of other service providers and community-based structures to ensure that survivors receive compassionate support
  • Knowledge sharing within the team members and support to others.
  • Conduct capacity building training with Volunteer and Facilitator.

  • High‑quality GBV activities delivered on time with strong community participation.
  • Survivors receive safe, confidential, and comprehensive support following IASC/GBVIMS standards.
  • Accurate and timely GBV data is recorded, reported, and securely managed.
  • Child and survivor information remains fully protected with controlled visitor access. Community structures function effectively according to the action plan. 
  • Strong coordination ensures compliance with GBV, and WVI standards across partners.
  • Case review information is updated regularly for improved coordination. Survivors access timely, appropriate services through proper referrals and follow‑up.
  • Inter‑agency recommendations are applied to enhance case quality.
  • Survivors receive continuous, coordinated support from all service providers.
  • Home visits are conducted safely, minimizing risks for survivors and staff. 
  • Prevention activities run smoothly through effective team collaboration. Community support systems strengthen compassionate care for survivors. 
  • Women receive appropriate psychosocial assessment and quality group sessions.
  • volunteers and facilitators gain essential skills that enhance the quality and effectiveness of prevention and response activities in the community. 
  • A staff member who consistently demonstrates World Vision’s Core Values through respectful work practices and positive relationships, actively collaborates with key working groups, and participates in exposure visits to strengthen learning

 

Knowledge, Skill & Experience:

Required Education, training, license, registration, and/or Certification:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in any discipline preferably in Social science/Social work / Psychology/. 
  • Post graduate degree

 

  • Clear Understanding on the issues project has to work on.
  • Knowledge on current development and emergence issues
  • Good conceptual and practical skill to write project concept paper and design documents of the project.
  • Good knowledge and skills in forecasting and budgeting
  • Baseline survey, Evaluation and Monitoring process and tools.
  • Good facilitation skill of Training, Seminar and Advocacy programs.
  • Proven management and leadership ability
  • Good communication and networking skill
  • Chittagong/Rohingya language skills will be taken into consideration. Good command in English & Bengali, both written and verbal.
  • Decision making and conflict resolution skills
  • Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation
  • Minimum of 3 years working experiences in the relevant field.
  • Ability to work under stressful condition and adaptive to local culture and situation

 

 

Required Language(s): English, Bangla and Rohingya

 

Salary: Negotiable
