Join the Humanitarian Transformation team and help advance digital and process transformation across World Vision's humanitarian operations. This team works to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and impact by leveraging automation, data-driven decision-making, innovative technologies, and business process optimization.

As a Humanitarian Transformation Intern, you will collaborate with colleagues across Disaster Management, technology, analytics, and field operations to support the adoption of new tools and ways of working. Through hands-on projects and research, you will contribute to solutions that help humanitarian teams respond more effectively to crises and better serve vulnerable communities around the world.

What You'll Do:

  • Priority 1: Automation Development: Support the design, development, and testing of low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate and related technologies.

    • Process Improvement Solutions: Assist in creating productivity solutions that reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and enhance operational efficiency.

    • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Develop user guides, implementation documentation, and other resources that support solution adoption and sustainability.

  • Priority 2: Innovation and Emerging Technology Research: Research emerging technologies, artificial intelligence capabilities, and digital tools relevant to humanitarian operations.

    • Innovation Assessments: Conduct comparative assessments of potential technology solutions and contribute recommendations for future implementation.

    • Proof-of-Concept Development: Assist in developing demonstrations and pilot solutions that showcase innovative approaches to humanitarian challenges. Present findings to team stakeholders if necessary

Priority 3: Data and Performance Insights: Support the collection, analysis, and interpretation of project and operational data.

  • Reporting and Visualization: Assist in developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support informed decision-making.

  • Information Management: Contribute to information and knowledge management activities that strengthen team collaboration and organizational learning.

Why Join Us:

  • Build Digital Transformation Experience: Gain practical experience in automation, business process improvement, digital transformation, and innovation within a global humanitarian organization.

  • Develop In-Demand Technical Skills: Learn how to use Microsoft 365 technologies such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot, SharePoint, and related tools to solve real-world business challenges.

  • Strengthen Analytical and Innovation Capabilities: Build skills in process mapping, business analysis, data visualization, stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, solution design, and continuous improvement.

  • Gain Exposure to Humanitarian Operations: Develop an understanding of how technology can strengthen disaster response, programme delivery, and humanitarian impact worldwide.

  • Receive Coaching and Mentorship: Benefit from regular guidance and mentorship from the Humanitarian Transformation Analyst while contributing to meaningful projects.

  • Collaborate with Global Teams: Participate in project meetings, solution design sessions, stakeholder engagements, workshops, and planning activities across multiple regions and functions.

  • Expand Your Horizons: Explore the international relief sector, unleash your leadership skills, and strengthen your Christian faith with Weekly Professional Development Sessions.

  • Join an Inspiring Community: Form connections with a diverse nationwide intern cohort and colleagues who, inspired by their Christian faith, support children of all backgrounds, even in the most dangerous places.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Interest in Technology and Innovation: Enthusiasm for digital transformation, automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.

  • Organization and Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality.

  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently while effectively contributing within a remote, global team environment.

  • Learning Agility: Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies and approaches.

  • Microsoft 365 Familiarity: Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint, is beneficial but not required.
