Job Description:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Community education on contextualized kitchen garden in refugee camps(35%

End Results

  • Community sensitized to natural resources management plan

Train and work with the community on management of kitchen in refugee camp context (25%)

End Results

  • Community educated on kitchen garden

Ensure availability of farm inputs and facilitate their applications(10%)

End Results

  • Farm inputs available

Undertake supportive home visits to kitchen garden farms (20%)

End Results

  • Improved knowledge and skills

Facilitate the community for preparation of inorganic manure (5%)

End Results

  • Organic manure produced

Weekly and Monthly report compilation (5%)

End Results

  • Timely and accurate reports shared

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required Professional Experience

  • Experience in working with humanitarian operations and refugees’ programs,
  • Experience in community works particularly agricultural activities

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • Degree in Agricultural Extension/Horticulture/Crop Production and or Agricultural Engineering from a recognized Institution

 

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Communication skills
  • Self-expression
